A teenager has died at a hospital after being wounded in a shooting Monday morning in east Kansas City.
Police said the victim, described as in his late teens, was shot in the chest just after 10:30 a.m. Monday in the 10400 block of East 39th Terrace. The address is just south of U.S. 40 and east of Pittman Road.
Monday afternoon, police reported that the man had died and the shooting was being investigated as a homicide.
Police were looking for two people in connection with the shooting. They ask anyone with information about the crime to call the Tips Hotline at 816-474-8477.

His death is the 16th homicide of the year in Kansas City and the 22nd in the metropolitan area.
