KC police investigating Westport shooting that left man with serious injuries
Kansas City police are investigating a shooting in Westport Wednesday night that left a man with serious wounds.
Sgt. Phil DiMartino, a spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department, said in an email that police were called to the shooting scene at the intersection of Westport Road and Mill Street around 10:15 p.m. and found a man in a vehicle suffering from gunshot wounds.
Officers provided medical assistance to the man, and he was taken to a hospital by ambulance. Police said his wounds were serious but said the man was stable.
