An investigation into the shooting found that a driver picked up a female passenger in Kansas City, and shortly after, the driver noticed they were being followed by the Jeep.

The driver tried to evade the Jeep by turning onto Roe. The pursuing Jeep, however, caught up, and someone inside fired a gun multiple times at the victims’ vehicle, which crashed near Franklin Park.

Arriving officers found two females. The passenger sustained non-life-threatening gunshot wounds and was taken to a hospital. The driver also had non-life-threatening injuries.
