Rolling shooting in Johnson County ends with crash in Prairie Village; 1 wounded

One person was shot in a rolling shooting Sunday evening in Overland Park that ended with one of the vehicles involved crashing at a Prairie Village park, a police spokesman said.

Officers responded about 6:50 p.m. to a report of an armed rolling disturbance in the 9900 block of Roe Avenue in Overland Park, said Officer Cameron Wainscott of the Overland Park Police Department.

Officers then learned that one of the vehicles involved had crashed at Franklin Park in the 8700 block of Roe Avenue in Prairie Village. When officers found two females, whose ages were not disclosed, with the vehicle. One of them had a non-life-threatening gunshot wound.

Overland Park and Prairie Village police are looking for a red or maroon 2017 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Kansas license plate 9103ACY, which they suspect was involved in the rolling shooting.
