Man sentenced to 55 months in fatal shooting of 21-year-old in Olathe

A 25-year-old man was sentenced to 55 months in prison in Johnson County Court Thursday in the March 29 shooting death of 21-year-old Landen Roggenkamp.

Armando Javier Guerrero pleaded guilty to one count of voluntary manslaughter in a plea agreement on Aug. 11.

Around 10 p.m. on March 29, dispatchers received a call . requesting officers in the 1400 block of East Mart-Way Circle, Olathe Police Department Sgt. John Moncayo previously told The Star.

Officers found Roggenkamp with multiple wounds, Moncayo said. He was taken to an area hospital where he later died.

A GoFundMe created for Roggenkamp described the man as “an incredible person taken too soon.”

“Thank you for sharing him with us over the years,” The Hallbrook Country Club posted on the fundraiser. “Not only a great co-worker, but a great friend. You will be missed Landen.”
