3 injured, including a suspect, in shooting on Kansas City’s West Side

Three people were injured, including a suspect, during a domestic violence-related shooting Saturday afternoon in Kansas City’s West Side neighborhood, a police spokeswoman said.

Officers responded to the shooting about 4:45 p.m. at the West Bluff townhomes in the 1300 block of West Bluff Drive, said Officer Alayna Gonzalez with the Kansas City Police Department.

Arriving officers found one of the victims suffering from multiple gunshot wounds, Gonzalez said. Officers also discovered a second victim had been grazed by gunfire.

They were taken to a hospital, where one of the victims was in critical condition, Gonzalez said.

Meanwhile, a man, who is believed to be one of two suspects, was dropped off at a hospital with gunshot wounds, Gonzalez said. He was listed in critical condition.

The investigation into the shooting is ongoing, Gonzalez said.

Anyone with information about the shooting is asked to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
