Police arrived around 4:15 a.m. Aug. 4 at Gregory and Holmes on an emergency medical services call where they found a man and woman shot in a vehicle, according to Capt. Jacob Becchina, spokesperson for the Kansas City Police Department.

On Monday, officers were informed that 20-year-old Shamya Oliver died of her injuries. The male victim is currently in stable condition, Becchina said in a news release.

Detectives are looking for any footage of a grey Jeep Renegade with black wheels and black trim traveling west, as well as any other vehicles near that time or immediately following, according to Becchina.
