Kansas City police are asking for tips to locate a minivan and its driver as detectives continue to investigate the fatal hit-and-run of a pedestrian on U.S. 71 Highway.

Around 11 p.m. Sunday, officers were dispatched to U.S. 71 near the 18th Street overpass on a confirmed fatal crash. Police believe the pedestrian was either walking in or crossing the highway lanes.

Police identified the pedestrian as 32-year-old Paige J. Duncan.

On Tuesday, Kansas City police Sgt. Jake Becchina said detectives developed information that led them to believe the vehicle was a 2005 through 2007 model Saturn Relay. It is silver or tan, and would have front-end damage, according to police.

Police are asking anyone with information to call KCPD Det. Chad Rives directly at 816-482-8296 or the TIPS Hotline 816-474-TIPS.
