Slick conditions possible with light snowfall in Kansas City metro early Thursday: NWS
Overnight rainfall was expected to transition to snow early Thursday morning in Kansas City that may create slick road conditions for area commuters, the National Weather Service said Wednesday.
Less than an inch of snowfall was predicted in total in most locations, the weather service said, and was expected to clear away from the immediate area by around 8 a.m. Some snow accumulation is possible, the weather service said.
“Be careful on that AM commute,” the weather service said in a tweet Wednesday.
The small storm comes as Kansas City has seen a relatively warm winter. According to the weather service, the city has logged a total of 1.7 inches of snow so far this season.
