Kansas City police open death investigation after fatal shooting Tuesday night
One person was killed Tuesday night in Kansas City’s Ingleside neighborhood in what authorities believe may have been an accidental shooting.
The shooting took place in the area of Spruce Avenue and Linwood Boulevard. It is currently considered a death investigation based on early findings of the investigation that suggest the shooting was unintentional, Sgt. Jake Becchina, a police spokesman, said in an email.
Police say the shooting victim is female. Other details about the victim were not immediately available.
