Police ask for help locating suspects following fatal Oveland Park hit-and-run

Overland Park Police are asking for help locating two potential suspects involved in a fatal hit-and-run accident July 29.

Anyone who with information regarding Jerry Lee Hall or Mary Kirk should contact the Overland Park Police Department at 913-895-6407 or the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS.

Police are also still searching for the gray or silver 2005 Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck involved in the crash. Investigators believe the bed cover and license plate pictured on the truck have since been removed. The vehicle will also be missing a driver’s side mirror because police said it was recovered at the scene.

A 63-year-old pedestrian was struck as she crossed in the middle of the street near W. 77th Terrace and Metcalf Avenue, and the truck continued driving northbound on Metcalf, police said in a press release. Police arrived at the scene just after 10 p.m. July 29, and the victim was taken to a nearby hospital and succumbed to critical injuries.
