Centennial Bridge closed due to ‘emergency situation’ Leavenworth police say

The Centennial Bridge will be closed for several hours after an “emergency situation” occurred Wednesday, Leavenworth police said.

The bridge connects Leavenworth, Kansas, to Platte County, Missouri. It’s unclear when the bridge will reopen.

The emergency situation is over, police said, but officers are continuing to investigate.

Police asked people to stay away from the area.
