Edwardsville police investigating after body found in Kansas River
The Edwardsville Police Department is investigating after a body was recovered from the Kansas River on Sunday afternoon.
Around 2 p.m., officers were called to Riverfront Park to respond to a report of a body found in the river. Upon arrival, Edwardsville EMS declared the person dead.
Police said the individual’s identity is being withheld while authorities determine the circumstances surrounding the death and notify family members.
