960 crimes were reported in Kansas City in one week. How many were in your area?

There were 960 crimes reported the week of April 12 in Kansas City, a slight dip from the number reported the previous week, according to a Kansas City Star crime map created with city data.

A combined total of 126 calls relating to non-aggravated and aggravated domestic violence crimes as well as another 17 domestic violence property damage crimes were reported between April 12 and 18, according to the data.

Police also responded to 86 calls regarding property damage, 77 calls of stolen vehicles and 69 calls regarding both items being stolen from autos and aggravated assaults.

The next-highest reported crimes that week include shoplifting at 51 cases, both residential burglaries and trespassing each at 49 cases and non-aggravated assaults at 38 cases.
