Second homicide reported Tuesday in Kansas City, Kansas

Police were investigating the shooting death of a man Tuesday afternoon at a Kansas City, Kansas, home, marking the second homicide of the day in the city.

A neighbor who heard one gunshot called police just before 11:20 a.m., said Officer Dustin Dierenfeldt, a spokesman for the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Officers responded to the area of N 18th Street and Walker Avenue and found a man dead in a house.

Police said the man was in his 40s, but have not identified him.

Earlier Tuesday, a man was found shot in the 600 block of 71st Terrace.

Police said suspect information in both cases was not available.
