Kansas City police seek help identifying armed robbery suspect shown in video

Kansas City police are asking for help identifying a man who they say robbed a Minit Mart at gunpoint Monday.

Just after 2 p.m. the man pointed a semi-automatic handgun at an employee and demanded all the money from the cash register in the convenience store at Holmes and Red Bridge Roads, Kansas City Police Department spokesman Sgt. Jacob Becchina said in an email Friday.

Before the robbery, police said, the man had been shopping in the store, waiting for other customers to leave before paying for a cigar.

He fled westbound on foot after the employee handed him money, Becchina said.

Officers said the man was medium build with tattoos on the back of both hands.

Anyone with information is asked to call the tips hotline at 916-474-8477.
