Person shot and killed inside Pizza Hut in Kansas City, Kansas, police say
Kansas City, Kansas, police were investigating after a person was shot and killed inside a Pizza Hut restaurant late Tuesday night.
According to a news release from police, officers were called just after 10:30 p.m. in reference to a shooting in the 4300 block of Rainbow Boulevard.
Police found a male victim who had been shot inside the Pizza Hut.
Personnel from the fire department responded and declared the victim dead at the scene.
Police later identified the victim as Laron Briggs, 25, of Kansas City, Kansas.
The killing remained under investigation early Wednesday.
The shooting death marks the third homicide reported in Kansas City, Kansas, this year, according to data kept by The Star.
