Two injured in shooting on Interstate-35 in Kansas City, Kansas Friday

Two people were injured Friday during a shooting on Interstate 35 in Kansas City, Kansas.

Just after 1 p.m. Friday, victims told police, a vehicle traveling northeast on I-35 near 18th Street pulled up to their car and an occupant began shooting.

Both the driver and passenger in the car were shot, according to Kansas City, Kansas, police spokesman Officer Jonathan Westbrook.

The extent of the injuries is unknown but appear non-life threatening, Westbrook said.

No suspect information is available at this time.
