Lee’s Summit home was shot up Monday morning, police say

Lee’s Summit police are investigating after shots were fired at vehicles and a home Monday morning. No injuries were reported.

The shooter got out of a car around 9:45 a.m. and approached the home before firing repeatedly into the house and vehicles outside in the 1900 block of SE Seventh Street, according to the Lee’s Summit Police Department.

A witness who heard the shots followed the suspect out of the neighborhood and gave information to police.

The shooting was not related to another shooting at a home in Lee’s Summit Sunday, police said.

In that incident, shots were fired from a moving vehicle at a home in the 700 block of SE 11th Street around 3 a.m.
