Man injured in shooting Thursday on Noland Road in Independence
A man was shot Thursday in a commercial area of Independence, according to police.
The shooting was reported about 11:31 a.m. along South Noland and East Rankin roads, according to the Independence Police Department.
Police found a man with gunshot wounds. The man was treated at the scene and was taken to a hospital.
The police department asked people to avoid the area while officers investigated.
Police later announced that a suspect had been arrested.
