On Christmas Eve, police investigate body in lake on Kansas City’s East Side

Kansas City police are investigating after a man’s body was found Tuesday afternoon in Riss Lake on the East Side.
The body was found behind Whispering Lake Apartments, near East 43rd Street and Northern Avenue. At about 6 p.m., firefighters were carrying a stretcher down to the lake.
There were no signs of foul play, police said.
