Two people shot each other Wednesday in Kansas City, Kansas, police say

A shooting Wednesday evening in Kansas City, Kansas, injured two people, police said in a news release.

The shooting occurred about 9 p.m. in the 600 block of Freeman Court at the Chelsea Plaza, a low-income housing development, police said.

Arriving officers found two people, a male and female, who had been shot. They were rushed to hospitals, police said.

“It is believed that the subjects had both shot each other,” police said on Twitter. “It was unclear at the time of the report how the incident occurred.”
