Suspect in KCK mass shooting, on the run for months, arrested in Mexico

A suspect who had been at large since a mass shooting in October at a Kansas City, Kansas, bar, was arrested in Mexico Wednesday, according to police.
Hugo Villanueva-Morales was arrested by state police in Michoacán, in southwest Mexico, according to a statement from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department. No other details of the arrest were immediately available.
Villanueva-Morales was identified by Kansas City, Kansas, police as one of two suspects in a mass shooting that left four people dead and five others wounded at the Tequila KC Bar near 10th Street and Central Avenue.
He and another man, Javier Alatorre, 23, have each been charged with four counts of first-degree murder in Wyandotte County District Court.
Those killed in the shooting were Everardo Meza, 29; Alfredo Calderon Jr, 29; Francisco Garcia Anaya, 34; and Martin Rodriguez-Gonzalez, 58.
In early October, police searched two homes for Villanueva-Morales but did not find him. Alatorre was arrested that month.
