From 9 p.m. Sunday until 9 p.m. Monday three men were fatally shot in Kansas City, bringing the year’s homicide total in the city to 104.

On Wednesday, police released the names of the men killed in separate shootings over a 24-hour period.

Dominique Jefferson, 34, of Kansas City was found shot about 9 p.m. Sunday near Indiana and Garner avenues. Jefferson was later pronounced dead at a hospital.

Police did not release suspect information in the shooting.

Kendrick Anderson of Kansas City died shortly after midnight Monday. He was two days shy of his 28th birthday. Officers responding to an injury accident near southbound U.S. 71 and Meyer Blvd. found Anderson shot to death inside of a wrecked vehicle.

There were several witnesses at the scene, police said, and investigators continue to develop suspect information.

Police found 38-year-old Lester Davis of Kansas City lying down on a sidewalk in the 1300 block of East 89th Street shortly before 9 p.m. Monday. He had been shot. Davis was pronounced dead at the scene.

Suspect information in Davis’ homicide was not available Wednesday, police said.
