Lenexa police make arrest in home burglary case after releasing video
Lenexa police arrested a suspect in a home burglary investigation Monday, five days after releasing surveillance video that appeared to show a man lurking near a home at night.
Ron R. Larsen, 32, was arrested Monday and is charged with aggravated burglary, attempted aggravated burglary, aggravated assault, misdemeanor theft and felony theft.
The two burglary charges, according to court documents, refer to a May 29 break-in at a home near 89th Street and Lackman Road and an alleged attempted break-in May 27 at a home near 86th and Haven streets.
Lenexa police on May 31 released surveillance video showing a possible suspect in break-ins in those areas. Another burglary in the 8000 block of Constance Street was under investigation.
According to court documents, Larsen is also accused of threatening a man with a gun, stealing some items from a woman and stealing a car on May 29.
Larsen was in custody Monday at the Johnson County jail on $250,000 bond.
