Olathe City Council to discuss rezoning, annexing land at Tuesday meeting
Olathe City Council is meeting 7 p.m. Tuesday in the city council chambers at Olathe City Hall, 100 E. Santa Fe Street.

Agendas can be found online ahead of the meetings. This week’s meeting will include special business items to reappoint a member to the board of housing commissioners and honor Olathe School District state champions.
Members of the public can sign up to make comments during the meeting by calling the City Clerk’s Office at 913-971-8521 or emailing CCO@OlatheKS.gov by 4:30 PM. In person sign-ups are available until 6:30 p.m.
Meeting agenda items for Jan. 20
Among other items on the agenda, council members will discuss:
- Approval of a lengthy consent agenda which includes renewal of licenses and the approval of various infrastructure improvement projects.
- Rezoning for the development of a proposed assisted living facility at 16560 Indian Creek Parkway.
- Rezoning for the development of an apartment complex with multifamily units on approximately 15 acres south of 133rd Street and east of Blackfoot Drive.
- Approving an ordinance to annex approximately 4.57 acres of land northwest of W. 175th Street and S. Mur-Len Road.
The city council will also convene for a planning session where it will discuss the City Hall parking garage project and the construction of a new Fire Station No. 4.
