Munday on Monday: ‘Well, honestly!’

Your character, indeed, is strong

Deserving praise in story, song,

If to this group you do belong:

As honest as the day is long.

Then someone seeming now to pry

Has bluntly asked me, by and by,

“Are you,” they ask me (right or wrong),

“As honest as the day is long?”

“Depends,” I said, when facing quiz,

“On what the current season is.”

“The season?” came a look amiss;

“But what has that to do with this?”

Explaining thus, I offer line:

“Is sunset now at five or nine?”
