200 pounds of marijuana found in traffic stop in Missouri
A man and woman from New Mexico are facing charges after authorities allegedly found more than 200 pounds of marijuana in their vehicle during a traffic stop.
Authorities say 38-year-old Matthew Serrano and 23-year-old Vista Scott are both charged with drug trafficking and attempted trafficking.
The suspects were in a car stopped for a traffic violation Saturday in O'Fallon, Mo. Police say they noticed a strong marijuana odor and performed a search that uncovered nine large bundles of the drug.
Both are jailed on $100,000 bond.
