Dangerous consequences: Preserve a mental health patient’s gun rights, or protect the public?

After being convicted Jan. 31 of harboring thoughts of using semi-automatic weapons to spray bullets inside a Wal-Mart in Bolivar, Mo., Blaec Lammers was sentenced to 15 years in prison for first-degree assault and armed criminal action. Tricia Lammers says her son was victimized because he was born different and that he needs help, not prison.
