Icy roads blamed in two Missouri fatalities
Icy conditions are blamed for two traffic deaths in Missouri.
The Highway Patrol says a 1-year-old boy died after the car he was riding went out of control and collided head-on with a snow plow Monday on a county road near St. Joseph.
Troopers said Kiber Williams, of Easton, was pronounced dead about three hours after the 8 a.m. accident.
In eastern Missouri, the St. Louis Post-Dispatch reports a fatal accident happened at 10:40 a.m. Monday on Interstate 44 in the city.
Fire Capt. Gregg Favre says a car apparently slid on ice and collided with a tractor-trailer. The victim's name has not been released.
The wrecks were among dozens handled by the Highway Patrol since a snowstorm hit most of Missouri on Sunday.
