Tavia Hunt calls rumors about Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce wedding ‘false narrative’
Tavia Hunt, who is a new mother-of-the-bride, has publicly slammed negative comments emerging about the Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce wedding on July 3.
Hunt, the wife of Kansas City Chiefs CEO and owner Clark Hunt, attended the event at Madison Square Garden with her husband, daughter Gracie Hunt and son Knobel Hunt.
On Tuesday, digital creator and podcast host Zack Peter took to Instagram where he discussed negative comments that alleged unnamed guests have shared with The Daily Mail tabloid about how things went down at the wedding.
They described the event as “tacky” and “chaotic,” with champagne running out early on and long lines for the buffet-style meal.
Another anonymous source alleged that there were only about 150 seats, which meant the rest of the reported 1,000 guests had to stand during the ceremony.
Peter mocked some of the Daily Mail “tea” — oh no, Julia Roberts had to stand in line at the buffet! — but said if Swift and Kelce really did, according to reports, spend 20 minutes each saying their vows to each other, that was too long.
“You need to keep vows short and sweet and cute, right?” he said.
Hunt responded in the comments on the Instagram post.
“This is such a false narrative,” she wrote. “They did not run out of champagne. There were not long lines. Every single person was seated for the ceremony.
“The vows were spectacular — beautiful, heartfelt, and absolutely perfect. It could not have been a more fabulous experience.
“And frankly, it is inappropriate to say things like this when you clearly don’t know what you’re talking about. That is hearsay — not truth.”
A few commenters who obviously do not know who Tavia Hunt is snarkily replied, “How do you know, were you there?”
She was.
And she is currently helping her oldest daughter, Gracie, plan her wedding. Gracie became engaged to Derek Green, the son of former Chiefs quarterback Trent Green, in April.
