Motorist is dead after crash late Friday night in Cass County
A man died Friday in a Cass County motorcycle crash, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol.
The incident occurred at 11:40 p.m. Friday, on Missouri Highway 7 near Thunder Road, according to the Missouri Highway Patrol crash report. This is southeast of Garden City, about an hour drive south of downtown Kansas City.
A 65-year-old man from Ulrich, Missouri was driving south on a 2008 Harley-Davidson when his motorcycle ran off the road, the report detailed.
The motorcycle veered off the left side of the road into the median and the northbound side of the highway until it hit a tree on the north side of the road, according to the report. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, the report said.
The Garden City Fire Department and the Cass County Sheriff’s Department also responded to the crash.
