Time for everyone’s favorite game: Will my garbage pickup get pushed back due to a holiday in Kansas City?
Holidays tend to affect when the city comes by to pick up your trash. That’s why there are trash days, which are holidays where the city doesn’t collect trash and recycling, and pickup is usually delayed by one day for the rest of the week.
The Fourth of July falls on a Saturday this year, which means it isn’t a trash holiday. The city also confirms trash and recycling will be picked up on Friday, July 3. Bulky item appointments will also be addressed.
