Police search for missing Topeka man known for artwork in Kansas City

Police are looking for a missing Topeka man who has personal and professional ties to Kansas City through his artwork.

Luke Rocha, 45, was last seen around noon April 25 in the 200 block of Southwest Van Buren Street in Topeka, according to the Topeka Police Department.

Rocha is 5 feet, 8 inches tall and weighs approximately 175 pounds, according to police. He has brown hair and brown eyes and frequently wears eyeglasses.

Rocha has faded tattoos on his forearm and bicep, and may have a black or navy blue canvas backpack with him.

Anyone with information on Rocha’s whereabouts is urged to contact the Topeka Police Department at 785-368-9200 or the Kansas Bureau of Investigation at 785-296-4017.

Rocha is known in the Kansas City region as a self-taught multimedia and collage artist. He was a Charlotte Street Visual Artist Fellow in 2012.
