An Independence QuikTrip helped a man win $187,500.

The Missouri Lottery announced that a man claimed the prize on April 29, which was the largest Club Keno prize so far this year. The winning ticket matched nine of the 10 winning numbers drawn.

By playing a $3 ticket with the Double Bulls-Eye, the winner’s prize went from $15,000 to $187,500. The ticket was purchased at the QuikTrip on 16001 E. Highway 24 on March 12.

“I hadn’t played for years. I never believed I would ever win anything like this,” the winner said in a statement. “I scanned the ticket, but it didn’t tell me how much I won, so I Googled it!”

In the 2025 fiscal year, Jackson County players won over $96.8 million in Missouri Lottery prizes, while retailers received over $8.9 million in commissions and bonuses.
