Royals moms and babies — and lots of strollers — help team open season at The K
Memo to the Royals: You’re missing a great opportunity if you haven’t signed Doona as a team sponsor.
Doona makes trendy, high-end baby strollers and car seats and appears to be the $650 stroller of choice among Royals moms.
As players’ wives reunited at The K Monday for the 2026 home opener, they shared photos of the kiddos they brought along for the big day.
One picture in particular reflected how young this team is: a gaggle of black baby strollers parked outside the private UMB Diamond Club.
“Baseball wives who are moms,” Tori Ragans, wife of pitcher Cole Ragans, wrote on the pic, tagging @DoonaUSA.
Last year was especially bountiful for the Royals off the field with several players and their partners having babies, including pitcher Michael Wacha and his wife Sara, who had a boy in August.
Tommy made his debut at The K the very next month. Before Monday’s season opener, Sarah dressed him in a baseball-themed onesie.
Players’ wives threw a baby shower at The K last July for Wacha, two other pregnant Royals wives and three who had recently given birth.
On Oct. 25, Casey Cameron, wife of pitcher Noah Cameron, gave birth to their second child, a 6 pound, 12-ounce baby girl they named Annie Jane.
Annie stayed home and slept on Monday, but Casey posted photos of their 2-year-old son, Auggie, at the stadium.
Baby Elle Lange, daughter of pitcher Alex Lange and his wife Anna, made her opening day debut in KC, posing for photos on the field with her parents. Elle was born in October and visited her dad at spring training, too.
Born in December, baby Elsie Marie, infant daughter of reliever Lucas Erceg and his wife Emma, also made her opening day debut at The K after spending time at spring training.
And the babies keep coming.
Nick Loftin and his wife, Taylor, announced her pregnancy on March 22. They have one son, Liam, who was with his mom at The K on Monday.
Casey Cameron posted a video Monday of her toddler son walking through a stadium tunnel with Liam.
Maggie Witt, wife of Bobby Witt Jr., shared a group photo of the team’s new mommies and moms-to-be.
Toddler Adalina India, daughter of second baseman Jonathan India and his wife Daniella, scored a home run in the Cute Kiddie Pics division, mugging like a pro on the field for her mom. It was Adalina’s second opening day at The K.
