Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker is a sharp-dressed man on game days, walking into Arrowhead and other stadiums across the country in suits that fit his lean, 6-foot-4-inch frame to a T.

He is a perfect model for Shepherd’s, the made-to-measure menswear company he co-founded in Kansas City and has recently opened a second location in Dallas. The local shop is in Mission Farms in Leawood.

Butker has told the story that when he joined the Chiefs in 2017, coach Andy Reid had a strict dress code for players traveling to away games: Coats and ties, no shorts, no sneakers. He was happy to follow the rules and wear suits like his grandfather wore to church.

“I think people used to always dress nice and now it’s gotten very casual,” he told The Star in 2024. “But part of that is it’s hard to find suits or nice clothes and there’s not many stores anymore that will provide that type of clothing, in my opinion.

“I think when you’re able to provide a garment that fits well, it makes someone feel better. I think they love it and they’re gonna want to dress up more, and I know when I’m dressed up, it helps me be a better husband and father.”

On Thursday the three-time Super Bowl champ turned his social media over to his fashionable pursuits.

In a video posted to his Buttkicker07 Instagram account, he said the account is now the official Instagram home of Shepherd’s.

“As you probably know by now, I’m not a huge social media guy. I haven’t posted in seems like a year,” Butker said.

“And I’ve just decided that, you know, since a lot of my photos are me, pre-game, wearing Shepherd’s - if you don’t know, Shepherd’s is a company that I co-founded, we do custom men’s wear, I’m very passionate about men taking charge of their lives and dressing better.

“I’ve just decided that I’m going to transfer over my Buttkicker7 Instagram account to become the official Shepherd’s account.”

He promised, though, that followers will still get to see his game-day content.

“You’ll probably actually see more content of everything that we’re doing here,” he said. “At Shepherd’s we’re so excited for what we have in store, so just wanted to give everyone a heads-up so they don’t feel blindsided by the switch and are kinda confused as to what’s going on.”

“So looking forward to the future for everyone to know about Shepherd’s and of course you’re gonna still see a lot of content of what I’m doing and what I have going on.”
