Chiefs’ Chris Jones has fun with young KC streamer who didn’t recognize him
A young Kansas City streamer will never forget the night he ran into Chiefs star Chris Jones — one night in a local grocery store parking lot.
His live audience and fellow influencers won’t let him forget.
For one thing, he didn’t recognize the three-time Super Bowl winner.
For another, the defensive tackle — known for his sense of humor — joked about what he does for a living.
The streamer, who goes by Danz04 on Twitch and Danz.Live on Instagram, posted video over the weekend of the encounter in a Cosentino’s Market parking lot.
“What up, bro,” the streamer said as he walked up to Jones.
“YouTube?” asked Jones.
“I’m live on stream right now,” Danz said.
Jones turned to Danz’s camera dude. “What up, stream,” he said with a big smile.
“What’s your name?” Jones asked Danz.
“Danz. What’s your name?”
“I’m Chris Jones.”
“Chris Jones?” said Danz. “Wait, Chris Jones. You sound familiar. I think ... you look familiar, too.”
“Uh, uh, I’m a model,” Jones told him.
Danz seemed immediately aware that something wasn’t computing. “Nah. What do you do? What do you do?” he pressed Jones.
“I promote. I sell real estate around here,” Jones said, turning to the camera to tell the live chat, “so you guys need any property ...”
But Danz still looked confused.
“No you look ... Chris Jones? You sound familiar, bro. Don’t do this,” he pleaded.
Danz asked his camera dude: “Who is it? You know who he is?”
Then he looked at his phone and saw his live audience freaking out in capital letters.
“CHRIS JONES.”
“OMG.”
“THAT’S CHRIS JONES.”
“HE PLAYS FOOTBALL.”
“Chat! They’re saying Chris ... Chiefs player? Are you all serious? Wait, you’re Chris Jones?” Danz yelled.
Jones quickly looked over his shoulder to see if anyone was around and told Danz to chill.
At one point Jones told Danz that he doesn’t do social media anymore.
Various clips are making the rounds on social media where Chiefs fans are enjoying seeing Jones’ latest silliness.
“When he said he was a model ... I DIED!!!!”
“He is such a goofball.”
“Chris Jones sells cars ...”
But there’s a third reason young Danz won’t soon forget this encounter.
“Do you know who I am? Or no?” he asked Jones before they parted ways.
“I don’t, bro,” the football star said.
“You never seen me before?” the disappointed streamer said.
