Here are 10 restaurants open on Christmas 2025 in the Kansas City area

From all-you-can-eat meals to international specialties, you can find delicious food away from home in the Kansas City area on Christmas 2025.

Christmas Day is Thursday, Dec. 25, and restaurants are preparing all over the area, from the Plaza to the Crossroads, Overland Park to Leawood.

And with the Chiefs playing a Christmas Day game, you’ll need fuel for rooting them on.

You’ll find a scrumptious meal no matter what you’re looking for: fine dining takes on holiday dishes, late night bites, or global flavors from China, Mexico, Thailand and Italy.

In addition to local eateries, some chain restaurants will also be open on Christmas, like Denny’s, Waffle House and Red Lobster. Hours vary by location, so call ahead to make sure your favorite spot is open.
