The Missouri State Highway Patrol is investigating a shooting involving the Kansas City Police Department Sunday evening.
The shooting occurred in the 3500 block of Independence Avenue, according to a tweet from the highway patrol. Multiple officers were involved, but the exact number was not disclosed to The Star. The highway patrol’s Division of Drug Crime Control is investigating.
