Youth charged in attack on T-Mobile Center employee at NBA YoungBoy concert

A youth is facing charges after being captured on viral videos appearing to beat up a T-Mobile Center employee during a NBA YoungBoy concert last month.

The Jackson County Juvenile Officer has charged the youth with two counts of assault, one a felony and the other a misdemeanor, in connection with the incident on Sept. 21, 2025, said Scott Lauck, a spokesman for the Jackson County District court.

Lauck said hearings in the case are not open to the public, and Missouri law requires the names of juveniles in the juvenile justice system to be confidential. The age of the minor also was not released.

Videos from multiple concertgoers showed a young person push an older man wearing a T-Mobile Center polo into an aisle. The youth then punched the man with both fists. Another concertgoer pulled the attacker off of the man, who lost his glasses and appeared dazed.

Officers detained the youth after the attack and released him to his guardian while they investigated, a police spokesman said.
