Officers responded just after 9 p.m. to Independence and Hardesty avenues in Kansas City’s South Indian Mound neighborhood for a reported crash.

According to a preliminary investigation, a man traveled east on Independence Avenue on a bicycle. As he entered the intersection at Hardesty Avenue, he changed lanes and entered the westbound lane, police said.
