10-year-old missing from Kansas City neighborhood has been found safe

Update: Missing 10-year-old Keivon Green has been found safe, a police spokeswoman said Tuesday evening.

Police are asking for help finding a 10-year-old boy who disappeared Tuesday morning from the Wendell Phillips Neighborhood of Kansas City, a police spokeswoman said.

Keivon Greene was last seen about 8:30 a.m. near East 20th Street and Brooklyn Avenue. He might be riding a white and blue Huffy bicycle, said Officer Alayna Gonzalez with the Kansas City Police Department.

Greene was described as 4-feet-2-inches tall, weighing 95 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes. Greene was last seen wearing a gray and navy shirt, gray sweatpants and Minecraft Crocs when he left home.

His family is worried about him due to his age, Gonzalez said.

Anyone who has seen or has information on his whereabouts is asked to call the Kansas City Police Department’s missing persons unit at 816-234-5043.
