Man’s body pulled from Missouri River, after being found by couple fishing

A man’s body was pulled out of the Missouri River Wednesday night.

A couple out fishing called 911 around 8:40 p.m. after seeing a body in the water near 210 Highway and Edwards Road near Missouri City, according to Sarah Boyd, public relations manager with the Clay County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon arrival, officials found the body of a man on the north side of the river, according to Boyd.

The Missouri State Highway Patrol’s water patrol division helped with recovering the man’s body.

Detectives have not yet been able to identify the man due to the condition of the body. The investigation is ongoing.
