Inc., a business publication, released their list of the 514 best employers for 2025 in June. For almost a decade, the national magazine has chosen some top employers through an application process.

A total of 10 companies in Kansas and Missouri made the 2025 list, including five in the KC area.

Eligible businesses can submit an application to Inc. Then the publication scores each organization based on employee benefits and the responses to a 40-question employee satisfaction survey.

All the companies on the list are independent, based in the United States, have five or more employees, are two or more years old and bring in less than $1 billion in total annual revenue.

The Inc. list mostly includes businesses with fewer than 500 employees. Forbes compiles a similar list each year that focuses on large businesses.
