Body found on Kansas City, Kansas, street. Police investigating death

Detectives are investigating the death of a person found lying in the street of a Kansas City, Kansas, neighborhood, a police spokesman said.

A caller reported about 4:45 a.m. Tuesday that a person was lying in the middle of the street in the 4600 block of Greeley Avenue, said Officer Carlos Ulloa with the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department.

Officers responded to the area and found a deceased adult. It was not known what caused the person’s death, Ulloa said.

Detectives from the Kansas City, Kansas, Police Department’s major case unit were investigating the person’s death.

No further information, including the gender of the person, was available.

Police asked anyone with information about the person’s death to call the TIPS Hotline at 816-474-TIPS (8477).
