One Kansas City gas station added over $50,000 to someone’s bank account, thanks to the Missouri Lottery.

A lottery player in June purchased a $3 ticket for the Cash Box Bingo game at Big B’s, 3800 E. Gregory Blvd. The game has a 1 in 3.92 chance of winning a prize on each ticket, including $3 prizes.

The winning player was shocked to learn he won the grand prize of $55,558 after he scratched the ticket at home and sawthe winning numbers.

His girlfriend didn’t believe him, so he immediately returned to the gas station with her to scan the ticket, making it official.

“I had to take her to the store and when they showed her, that’s when she really realized,” he said to Missouri Lottery.

Players have won over $1.8 million playing Cash Box Bingo since its launch March 3, according to the Missouri Lottery. The lottery says there is an additional $9.4 million left in unclaimed prizes, including four grand prizes of $55,558.
