The day after hosting Big Slick, Paul Rudd wound down at this local restaurant
Apparently raising millions of dollars for charity can really work up a guy’s appetite. And in Paul Rudd’s case, that meant stopping in for some Mexican food Sunday after co-hosting the Big Slick Celebrity Weekend.
The “Ant-Man” star made a bit of a splash when he walked in the door of Taco Naco KC, 4141 Pennsylvania Ave., in Westport, a Mexican restaurant honored for best tacos, best margaritas, best food truck and best new restaurant on the Kansas City food scene in recent years.
One of its newest offerings: the Quesabirria taco, birria-style brisket or chicken wrapped in a stone-ground white corn tortilla with melted cheese, topped with fresh cilantro and onion and served with an au jus consomme for dipping.
Hungry yet?
“Huge thanks to @paulrudd_ for stopping by TACO NACO KC Westport, being super nice, friendly, handsome, humble and supporting our team and locals,” the restaurant posted on its Facebook page Sunday. “Thanks for making our day!”
Rudd and his friends Jason Sudeikis, Eric Stonestreet, Heidi Gardner, Dave Koechner and Rob Riggle made a lot of people’s day by raising a record $4.5 million during this year’s Big Slick.
People like to know where those homegrown celebs eat and hang out when they come home. Rudd, for instance, who grew up in Overland Park, has named the chicken Parmesan from Jasper’s Italian Restaurant as his favorite dish in KC.
Alas, we cannot tell you what he ordered at Taco Naco because the restaurant is closed on Mondays.
But you just know the guy who went viral when he conquered all the sauces on “Hot Ones” ordered something spicy, right?
