The Hallmark Channel already knows how much viewers loved “Holiday Touchdown: A Chiefs Love Story.” Millions of people watched the made-in-KC film, making it one of the most popular holiday movies for the channel last year.

But will Emmy voters feel the same love?

Hallmark reunited the movie’s cast last week for its campaign to get the movie nominated for an Emmy. The two leads, Tyler Hynes and Hunter King, and their co-stars met with and schmoozed Emmy voters at the W Hotel in Hollywood on Thursday.

The 77th Primetime Emmy Awards are set for Sept. 14. Nominations will be announced on July 15.

“The fact that this film is being considered for an #Emmy is a privilege,” Hynes wrote on Instagram. “To be doing this with my friends and this audience is an honour.

“Thank you to the 1,000 Emmy voters who wished to join us and the 300+ folks we had the space for, who shared your kind words about how ‘Holiday Touchdown’ & @findingmrchristmas touched you. You are who I do this for.”

The actors were joined by co-stars Christine Ebersole, Ed Begley Jr., Megyn Price and Diedrich Bader, who chatted with voters about the making of the movie.

The cast had just won a Gracie Award for Best Ensemble Cast in a Made for TV Movie. The Gracies are given by the Alliance for Women in Media Foundation to honor programming created for, about and by women in electronic media.

Before Emmy voting begins, networks and studios host FYC (For Your Consideration) events to showcase their work, usually through screenings and meet-and-greets with stars in Los Angeles. They’re only open to voting members of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, which awards the Emmys. The events will wrap up next week.

“Holiday Touchdown” has launched a mini-franchise of its own. Hallmark will follow up the Chiefs-centric movie with a Christmas rom-com about the Buffalo Bills. The movie began filming in Buffalo last month.

Love is certainly in the air for the Chiefs’ rivals in Western New York.

Quarterback Josh Allen got married over the weekend to actress Hailee Steinfeld.

Though Bills head coach Sean McDermott and several current and former players will appear in the movie, Allen’s name isn’t on the cast list.
