More than two dozen cars burned up in a blaze at a Kansas City auto action Tuesday, according to the Kansas City Fire Department.

Crews responded just after midnight to Manheim Auto Auction, 3901 N Skiles Ave, where there was a reported fire. Firefighters found multiple cars on fire in a back lot of the property, said Battalion Chief Michael Hopkins, a spokesperson for the fire department.

Multiple pumper trucks were called to the scene to put out the fire. The distance from the street and hydrant accessibility made containing the blaze difficult, Hopkins said in an email.

It took almost two hours to put the fire out, Hopkins said.

In total, about 25 cars were burned. No injuries were reported in the incident, Hopkins said.

The KCFD is investigating the cause of the fire.
